Design Technology: Graphic Products
This course has been designed to encourage students to be able to design and make products with creativity and originality, using a range of graphic and modelling materials.
Students will work independently on specifically designed mini projects at the start of the course. This will enable them to gain relevant and transferable experience. Students are encouraged to learn through examples to use, understand and apply colour and design, to develop spatial concepts, and to understand graphic materials and their manipulation. They will design and make products using graphic media and new technologies. This experience prepares them for further education and the world of work.
Our course is designed to foster an awareness of the need to consider sustainability and the environmental impact of designing. The end product/s in the final year of study will need to be commercially viable.
