Tuesday the 24th of November saw the GCSE groups in Year 11 take to the boards to complete one of the practical elements of their exam and perform to a live audience!
The groups had spent many weeks exploring the theme of 'prejudice' and coming up with their own stimulus and plots to showcase their skills. Many of the pieces explored hard hitting issues based around class, race and inequality. All of the pieces showed the maturity of the actors involved and the imagination and creativity they have.
The performance was worth 30% of their overall grade as a part of their controlled assessment and the hard work and dedication to rehearsals truly paid off! The audiences were spellbound by the emotional performances and the expertly staged physical theatre.
Well done to all involved and we hope that the same success is experienced in the written examination
