Year 11 Catering students hosted a culinary delight for teachers this week, as they completed the practical assessment for their course.
Students had put together a variety of three-course menus and teachers were given the option to select which dishes they would like. In addition to planning their menus and practicing the best method of preparation, they also cooked all of their menus independently and hosted the event; students greeted their guests, seated and served them their meals.
Teaching staff who attended the banquet were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail, the presentation of the meals served and the quality of the dishes served. The favourite dishes on the day included the ravioli, stuffed peppers, profiteroles and sweet and sour chicken.
Well done to all of the students involved in the event.
