Year 11 students enjoyed their enrichment trip to Grendon hall as part of a revision skills and GCSE preparation event.
All of the students had the opportunity to participate in seminars on topics such as how to manage revision stress and maintain well being, organising time and workload through revision timetables and how to best utilise thinking maps to help with presenting key information. Students were also introduced to the new GCSEPod revision tool, which sees students login to the service and access thousands of podcasts and videos to support their understanding of topics across all areas of the curriculum.
In addition to these valuable learning sessions, students had the opportunity to put their strength and agility to the test as they got involved with a range of outdoor pursuits including traversing the swamp, high wires, blind walks and abseiling.
The enrichment day was a real success and the feedback from the year 11 students showed how beneficial the event was for their revision and focus in the final year of study at Lea Manor.
Thanks to Mr. Campbell Head of Year 11 for making the event such a success and creating this video..
