Revealed! The Lea Manor entry for the 'Positive Luton' art competition...
Year 7 Students have been working on a group piece which will be entered in for the 'Positive Luton' Art Competition.
Students have been working on paintings based on landmarks and places of beauty in and around Luton. They took photographs and discussed things they like about Luton and made careful observational drawings.
They looked at the work of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and added colour and pattern to the piece inspired by his approach to landscape and cityscapes. The pieces are vibrant, lively and creative, matching the optimism and ambitions of our students and how they imagine their futures.
Students worked with Artist in Residence Kirsten Jones, creating abstract studies on to maps of Luton. These pieces will be combined together to create a group artwork.
