Year 9 have a very busy year as students will be looking at their pathway choices ready for entering Key Stage 4. There is a careers convention this year, which is a great opportunity for the students, parents and carers to consider which pathway to take for their future.
Pathway choices are set up before the summer, this gives students, parents and carers opportunity to speak to teachers within their subject areas. This will help students decide which subjects to select.
Attendance is expected at 95% or above this ensures all students are accessing the curriculum. Attendance has a direct impact on progress made by students.
We seek to ensure that all learners have the opportunity to succeed and achieve beyond their potential and so fulfil their ambitions. All are determined to build upon the principles of reflective practice, evaluation and quality assurance in order to fulfil potential.
We provide students with a personalised learning experience, informed by a good understanding their abilities and aspirations.
In Year 9 we ensure we know every childs ideas and aspirations so their individual needs are met, their abilities are understood and their talents are developed. As a result or our nurturing and guided approach we anticipate students will become confident, articulate young adults ready to enter Key stage 4.
